Temple Newsam, Leeds, is one of the great historic houses of England and justly celebrated as the birthplace of Lord Darnley, home of the Ingram family for over 300 years and latterly as a magnificent museum of Fine and Decorative Arts. Described as The Hampton Court of the North, this fine Tudor-Jacobean mansion has a history that dates back to the late 15th century and spans both private and public ownership.
