Sebright
A miniature breed developed in England in the 1700s by Sir John Sebright. Bred by crossing
the common 'bantam' with Polands, Nankins and Hamburgs.
A pert bird with a prominent breast and a rose comb. The original bantam cock was 'hen' feathered, hence the
males have a tail with no sickle or long, curved feathers.
Available: miniature only.
Weight: Hen 1lb2oz, 0.51kg.
Cockerel 1lb6oz, 0.62kg.
Colours: gold; silver.
Eggs: white or cream.
