Scots Dumpy
Originating in Scotland where, for over 200 years, fowl with very short legs were known as Bakies, Crawlers,
Creepers and Corlaighs. Now called Scots Dumpy, these birds make ideal sitters and mothers.
They are a light breed with a large, low, heavy body, long back and very short legs with a waddling walk.
They may have a single or rose comb.
Available: large fowl or miniature.
Weight: Large Hen 6lb, 2.7kg.
Cockerel 7lb, 3.2kg.
Colours: black; cuckoo - light grey with dark grey; dark - black, white and grey with
some red; silver-grey.
