Lawnmower

Thomas Green & Sons had their base at the Smithfield Works on North Street in Leeds, although later they also had a branch in London.

There are several Green's lawnmowers on show, including 'The Killer' - a nickname given to the 30inch Master Grass Verge Cutter. Fitted with a Villiers 3.5 HP petrol engine this machine cost £193 19s 9d in 1951 and could cut approximately 1 acre per hour.
