Dennet Gig
A Gig is a light, one horse two-wheeled carriage that at one time was the most common means of transport,
much like the car today. There are various gigs, usually named after the style of the body, but in this case
the Dennet Gig is thought to have been named after a well known actress of the time. The Dennet, designed by a
coachbuilder named Bennett, was introduced around 1814 and could be driven in town or country.
