Wildlife Events

Throughout the year we run a programme of events reflecting the diversity of the wildlife on the Estate.

These events need to be pre booked and a small charge applies

Dawn Chorus
An early (6am) start but well worth it. A leisurely stroll around the Estate listening and identifying our feathered friends, this is followed by a hearty breakfast in the Stable Courtyard café.

Bat Evening
A short talk and slide show along with a very sociable BBQ followed by instructions on how to use a bat detector then a stroll around the estate looking for and identifying bats.

Archaeological Walk
A walk back through time – starting in Home Farm by looking at the major buildings, out into the estate and the Capability Brown landscapes, the serpentine lakes, into the walled garden and on to the medieval village and agricultural ridge & furrow, carry on to a possible Iron Age hut circle. This is an enjoyable three–mile walk.

Fungus Foray
A brief talk then out and about looking for mushrooms and toadstools.

Christmas Crafts
Come and make your Christmas decorations using natural materials gathered from around the Estate.
