Themes and subjects which can be studied include art and design (a wealth of opportunities exist!) Local History, Britain 1500 – 1750, Britain 1750 – 1900, Shape and Space, Creative Writing, Music, Design and Technology and much, much more!

ON THE FARM

Self–led activities

"Animal Designs" A Three Part Pack of Investigations and Quizzes. With Teachers Pack, information and worksheets available to buy from the Visitor Centre Shop or the Reception Office in Stable Courtyard.

"Pond Dipping" Equipment to hire with I.D. sheets from the Reception Office.

Guided activities

"Animal Designs 2", "Poetry for Pigs", "Animal Sculpture", "Architexture", "Arty Animals", "Pond Dipping", "Meet the Animals Guided Tour", "Farm Food – Healthy Eating".

We can create specially designed National Curriculum packages for specific requirements. We are also able to work with you to develop specific themes. We are currently developing a major new themed activity for Key Stages 2 and 3, focussing on the Victorians and Working Life. This will link to the National Curriculum themes History: Britain 1750 – 1900, Maths: Shape space and Measures, Science, Design and Technology, Citizenship and Personal, social and health education. ON THE ESTATE

Self–led activities

Open space opportunities for orienteering and discovery. There are a variety of habitats available for investigation activities.
