Temple Newsam's Estate and Gardens
Temple Newsam estate encompasses 600 hectares (1500 acres) of parkland, farmland, woodland, lakes and gardens. The beautiful landscaped parklands and gardens were mainly created in the 18th century by the famous 'Capability' Brown.
Stroll along herbaceous borders, lakeside walks, and view the splendid Rhododendron display in spring. Enter the walled garden to discover the national plant collection or pick a pathway which leads you on trails through the parkland. Wherever you end up, you'll find a fine view!
