Active Women sessions encourage women aged 16 years and over to increase their sport and physical activity levels for fun, social, recreational or competitive purposes. These sessions are a 10 week block of sport and physical activity where there are various sports played for the complete beginner. All sessions are great social sessions and are a great way to meet new people and be active in a fun environment. Sports include netball, social tennis, badminton, football and rounders as well as many more!

General fitness sessions
Leisure centres across the city provide general fitness classes including zumba, pilates, yoga and aerobics which can be found on the leisure centre fitness timetables.
Types of women only sessions
Aqua natal - this class offers you the results of aerobics class but with the benefit of being supported in the water as your baby bump grows.
Ladies Weights - a gym based circuit class designed especially for women to help banish bingo wings, muffin tops and thunder thighs. If you’ve not already had a gym induction, you’ll need to have one before you can take part in the class.
Swimming - swimming is one of the best all-round forms of exercise and can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their age or ability.
Netball sessions - we have a variety of Back to Netball sessions, Next Step Netball and Netball in the City Leagues across the city.
