What opportunities are there?
Organisations are often on the lookout for new volunteers of all ages to support local events and help with the day to day running, especially where sports clubs are concerned.
There are various types of roles volunteers could be interested in doing. These include:
- Sports coaching
- Supporting events
- Administration work
- Marketing and promotion
- General day to day duties
This could be with a voluntary sports club, other type of community based organisation or even with Leeds City Council’s sport service. This is up to you to decide what you want to do and see what opportunities exist.
We are very keen to support local sports clubs and one of the ways to do this is by signposting potential volunteers to these organisations. The sport service has 3 Club Development Officers working across the city and they will be working closely with clubs to identify what type of volunteer roles they are looking for.
Once we have received your details and you have signed up as a volunteer, you will be added to our database.
We will then circulate information about any volunteer opportunities we are aware of and keep you up to date with all the latest information which we feel would be of interest to you.
