What is Sportivate?
Sportivate is funding that aims to provide opportunities for teenagers and young adults (aged 11 to 25), who are not currently, or are doing a limited amount of sport, to receive 6 to 8 weeks of coaching in sport or physical activity, and guide them into regular participation within their community.
The aim is for the young people to then have access to sustainable activity after the Sportivate programme has finished, either at the same session, a local club or other local provision.
Sportivate priorities
■ Focus on over 16s
■ Projects that target Under 16s will be looked on more favourably if it meets one of the national themes (disability / girls / NEET / BME)
■ Boys Football will only be funded if it meets one of the national themes (disability / NEET / BME / over 19
■ Projects that link to a genuine satellite club development
■ New innovative ideas welcomed
