What is Sportivate?
We are looking to support and develop projects that will engage with and stimulate 11-25 year olds who don’t currently participate in sport or exercise. Inactive, those young people who, when registering for Sportivate, state that they aren’t yet doing once a week participation. We are expecting to fund a wide range of activities across the city, targeting all sections of the community.
The funding available can help pay for coaches, equipment, venue costs, marketing or coach education.
Sportivate is 6-8 sessions after which there must be an opportunity for participants to continue with the activity.
Round 11 Priorities:
Sportivate is particularly prioritising projects that engage inactive 19-25 year olds and women and girls in that order. Projects with strong exit routes will also be prioritised. This does not exclude projects from other target groups, but applicants should be aware that Sportivate is a competitive programme and last year, we were heavily over-subscribed.
Projects that have been funded more than twice will need to provide the following additional information:
•How they are planning for sustainability
•Must provide evidence of sustained participation
