Junior gym and fitness

​Our gyms have a range of state of the art cardiovascular and resistance equipment (many with ipod connections and  TV screens), a selection of free weights as well as core training zones.  The gyms vary in size from site to site ranging from 17-stations up to 150-stations. 

We welcome young people aged 12 and over in our Bodyline gyms. Juniors aged 12 and 13 are welcome into the gym on their own during junior gym sessions. If you’re aged 14 or over, you can now use the gym at any time (excluding Garforth and Fearnville).  You will need a gym induction before you can start using the equipment. Inductions take approximately one hour. Inductions are practical sessions so you will need to wear appropriate clothes and footwear to use the equipment.  Please contact your local leisure centre to arrange a gym induction.

If you are aged 14 or over, you can also go swimming on your own or with your friends and go to any fitness class without an accompanying adult.  We also run a number of junior fitness classes and gym sessions specifically for our younger customers.  Times and age restrictions are site specific so please check the individual centre web page for details.
