Our gyms have a range of state of the art cardiovascular and resistance equipment (many with ipod connections and tv screens), a selection of free weights and core training zones. The gyms vary in size from site to site ranging from 17-stations up to 150-stations. A summary of which leisure centres have gyms and their size is available to download as a pdf from this page.
Visiting the gyms
All our gyms can be used either on a pay and play basis or as part of a Bodyline fitness membership.
If you're aged 12 or 13 you are welcome into the gym on your own during junior gym sessions, or at any other time with an accompanying adult. One person aged 16 or over can supervise up to 2 juniors. Times are site specific so please check the individual centre web page for details - go to the Related Pages at the bottom of this page to check the Junior Gym times for your local leisure centre.
If you're aged 14 and 15 you can now use the gym at any time without an accompanying adult (excluding Fearnville and Garforth) - go to Related Pages at the bottom of this page to check the gym opening times at your local leisure centre.
Before you can start using the gyms you will need to have an induction with one of our instructors. This will (if offered) include using both the cardio and resistance equipment and a personal fitness programme created for you based on your fitness goals. Inductions are practical so you will need to wear appropriate clothing and footwear to use the equipment.
At the end of your induction you will receive a Bodyline towel and water bottle for use in the gym. You will also be given an induction card that you need to present to the receptionist each time you visit.
Inductions can be booked by calling the centre reception where you want to have your induction. Please download and complete the PARQ form from this page and bring it with you to your induction. Once you have had an induction you can use any Leeds City Council gym
