Vehicle Seizure Notices

When we can seize a vehicle

Where we have grounds to believe that a vehicle has been used in the commission of a fly-tipping offence, or grounds to believe that controlled waste has been or is being transported without the appropriate registration, we may seize the vehicle concerned.

The Control of Waste (Dealing with Seized Property) (England and Wales) Regulations 2015 stipulate that where a vehicle is seized, we must publish a notice of seizure on our website.

Vehicles we have seized

  • Ref 16/61566/E_FLYT seizure notice in respect of a vehicle seized on 11th October 2016. The notice will remain published until 2nd November 2016 (15 working days after the date of seizure).

Claiming a seized vehicle

A person may make a claim of entitlement to a seized vehicle within 15 working days of the date of the seizure. Details of how to do so are included on the notice.
