Road Safety for Secondary Schools - Lessons

Road Safety Officers are available, free of charge, to visit secondary schools and deliver road safety lessons to individual classes or to give presentations at school assemblies.

Lessons are age appropriate for each year group and are tailored to take account of the needs of schools and pupils in relation to the "Every Child Matters" agenda and to compliment the curriculum particularly in relation to PSHE & Citizenship.

Various topics are covered with the emphasis being on road safety

  • The law
  • Risk taking and risk assessment
  • Life skills
  • Drugs and alcohol
  • Increased freedom
