CAR PARKING PRICES AND PAYMENT OF PENALTY CHARGE NOTICES
The provision of parking spaces in Leeds supports our transport policy.  This sets out – with partners – how we aim to meet the movement and transportation needs of the city region, its residents, its workers and its visitors.

Council elected members consult and approve the setting of car parking prices and any subsequent changes.  The ‘Downloads’ tab has information about the current prices for parking in and around Leeds.

You can pay for parking in many of the council run car parks via our cashless parking facility.  You can access information on how this works from the ‘Downloads’ tab.  This also provides a link to the cashless parking facility.

If you commit a parking offence, you could receive a penalty charge notice (PCN): commonly known as a ‘parking ticket’.

Bus Lane Enforcement PCNs are £60.00 and parking PCNs are either £50.00 or £75.00, depending on the particular offence and how promptly the PCN is paid.   You can find more information on what to do if you receive a parking ticket on our ‘Parking enforcement’ page.
