As there is a high demand for council properties we always recommend that you consider all options when you are looking for a home. In addition to council housing, you can apply for housing association properties and also search for privately rented properties.
The Leeds Arms Length Management Organisations (ALMOs) and the Belle Isle Tenant Management Organisation (BITMO) let our homes in line with our lettings policy.
Applying for council housing
Before you can apply for a council house you need to become a member of the Leeds Homes register. You can apply for membership by completing a membership form, which is available:
- by downloading a copy from the Leeds Homes website
- by e-mail using the contact us tab below and we will post you a form.
Current properties are advertised through our choice based lettings scheme on the Leeds Homes website. We also advertise through our weekly Leeds Homes magazine which is published every Wednesday and is available in housing offices and one stop centres.
