Leeds Local Offer for young people

Tell us what you want to see here!
We want the Leeds Local Offer to be a useful place for young people with special educational needs and disabilities as well as for their parents and carers.
We have tried to make the whole site user-friendly for everyone.

The Leeds Pathways website has useful information on training, learning and finding jobs. You are also able to search for services near to where you live.

Help make decisions about services in Leeds!
We have a group of young people with SEN and disabilities to help us when we need to make decisions about things that might affect you. If we are thinking of opening a new service for young people, we can ask the group what they think about it and use their views to help us decide if it’s a good idea or not.

If you want to join the group, please email bpteam@leeds.gov.uk and tell us your name, age and email address or postal address. We will let you know about any changes and ask for your views. We will also invite you to  focus groups. You can share views by email or post if you don’t want to be part of the group.

There is also a national group of young people with SEN and disabilities called EPIC, who share their views about national issues with the Government.

You said, we did – how your views make a difference
When we ask young people in Leeds their views about something we will share details of what we found out on this page.

There are short reports about some of the things young people have told us in the documents section.

If you need any help or advice
If you are scared or worried about something and you can’t talk to anyone in your life, you can always ring Childline. You can call them free on 0800 1111. You can also visit their website to have an online chat or visit their messageboards.

If you would like advice and information about using the Leeds Local Offer please contact the Leeds SEND Information Advice Support Service (formerly Parent Partnership Service). The team can provide you with general information about services for SEN and disabilities and advise you on how best to access the site. Leaflets and downloads can also be posted out to you. For expert advice on any of the services shown in the Leeds Local Offer please use the contact details that each specific website provides.

You can call the Helpline on 0113 378 5020 or send an email to sendiass@leeds.gov.uk
