Respite and Emergency Service

Single Image Display

The Learning Disability Community Support Service provides a respite care and emergency service for adults with a learning disability.

The respite care service offers an opportunity for over 200 customers each year to have short stays away from their family and gives family carers a break from their caring responsibilities.

The emergency service provides a place for someone to stay when their needs change or an emergency occurs and they need support from staff.  Providing a dedicated service enables us to be responsive to unplanned situations without needing to cancel someone else’s pre-booked respite stay.  Customers can stay for up to three months whilst they are supported to move on to a more permanent setting.

The respite care and emergency service is registered through the Registered Care Home arrangements under the Care Quality Commission.
