Healthy Schools and wellbeing

SchoolWellbeing is a website aimed at staff in schools or settings who support the health and wellbeing of children and young people. The term 'wellbeing' spans a wide spectrum of themes including Healthy Schools, emotional health, targeted mental health (TaMHS), bullying, sustainable schools, participation, healthy eating, PSHE Education, SEAL, citizenship and more.

Within the site you will find a rich and ever growing library of resources, relevant for both curriculum and school leadership and management use in primary, secondary and special school settings. You can download lesson plans, schemes of work, policies, toolkits and downloadable training units to support school staff on their professional development pathway. Our web library pulls together some of the best websites to support your work and our news section will keep you up to date with what you need to know for each of our wellbeing themes.

The Leeds Healthy School and Wellbeing Service developed the SchoolWellbeing website for Leeds schools – it is in fact used by hundreds of schools both within and beyond Leeds.

Currently the website only allows full access to schools who have an SLA although certain pages are open to all.

You can view the website using the external link on the right hand side.

How do I access the SchoolWellbeing website?

Although some information is available to the general public on SchoolWellbeing, most information on SchoolWellbeing can only be seen by schools and settings who have an SLA with, or pay an access fee to the Healthy School and Wellbeing Team.  For further information please contact schoolwellbeing@leeds.gov.uk

What about VCSOs?

It is not possible, currently, for VCSOs to have full use of this website, although some agencies who are alternative providers of full or part time education for pupils can access. Please contact us if you require further information: schoolwellbeing@leeds.gov.uk

Planning site unavailability

Public Access will be unavailable on Sunday 5 October from 10am until 1pm due to essential work. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
