Employee Journey

​We support all colleagues through their employee journey, providing entry-level apprenticeships, school leaver and graduate schemes, management training, a leadership development offer and access to regional aspirant Director programmes.

Our specialist HR teams have designed a new Council wide development offer which includes core and bespoke training courses for all employees. Development needs are identified jointly through the appraisal and objective setting process with individuals and their managers to ensure the right learning tool is selected for each employee.

Our values

We have a set of clear behavioural expectations for all our staff which were developed through a Council wide consultation with colleagues about how we bring our organisational values to life in the workplace. How well colleagues are living and achieving these expectations is reviewed through the appraisal process.
