We're here to help our adopters do an amazing job. Our dedicated adoption support team has been rated as 'outstanding' by Ofsted. We're one of the most established adoption support services in the UK and have been listening to adopters and developing the services they want to use for more than 12 years.
We are the largest adoption service in the north and the second largest in the UK. We provide for the adoption needs of around 172 children at any one time. We work to:
- Find families for children waiting to be adopted;
- Recruit, prepare and assess adopters; and
- Provide on-going support to adopters, adopted children and their families.
Our experienced staff keep up with the current adoption knowledge, theory and research to give you the best service possible. We will always seek to improve and develop what we offer you. We benefit from the support of experienced adoptive parents, who are involved with a great deal of our work. We also have close links with other adoption organisations such as BAAF, the Adoption Register and the Yorkshire and Humberside Adoption Consortium. We'll guide you through the process from preparing for your application until the day you become an adoptive parent and beyond. Our experienced team offer post-adoption support which has been rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted.
