Public Health campaigns

Each year the Public Health Resource Centre supports public health campaigns.

Leaflets and posters are or will be available for each campaign as well as supporting information such as useful websites and/or resources.

To maximise the impact of campaign messages, we encourage all of our customers to take part. If you would like to be notified about future campaigns, please contact us or subscribe to our mailing list.

The PHRC promotes campaigns led by Public Health England.  Other PHRC campaign sources include Health Education England and NHS Employers.

The PHRC are supporting the following awareness-raising campaigns:

Stoptober (October)

Smoking prevalence in Leeds is 18%, which is slightly higher than the average of 15.5% in England (PHE, 2017). The smoking prevalence rate has continued to drop in recent years – it was 23% in 2015. However, there is still work to be done to reduce instances and new challenges around vaping. A reduction in smoking will lead to improved health outcomes and lower levels of healthcare utilisation.

Visit the One You Stoptober website for Leeds for information on the campaign, e-cigarettes and stop smoking medicines.

Help spread the word by using hashtag #Stoptober2017 and URL: http://po.st/Stop17_Leeds in social media.
