Public Health campaigns

Each year the Public Health Resource Centre supports public health campaigns.

Leaflets and posters are or will be available for each campaign as well as supporting information such as useful websites and/or resources.

To maximise the impact of campaign messages, we encourage all of our customers to take part. If you would like to be notified about future campaigns, please contact us or subscribe to our mailing list.

The PHRC promotes campaigns led by Public Health England.  Other PHRC campaign sources include Health Education England and NHS Employers.

The PHRC are supporting the following awareness-raising campaigns:

Keep Antibiotics Working National Campaign

5,000 deaths are caused every year in England because antibiotics no longer work for some infections. Experts predict that in just over 30 years antibiotic resistance will kill more people than cancer and diabetes combined. Public Health England’s #KeepAntibioticsWorking campaign encourages the public to take their doctor, nurse or pharmacist’s advice on antibiotics.  We all have a part to play in tackling antibiotic resistance.

You can support the ‘Keep Antibiotics Working’ campaign through your own local social media channels by sharing or retweeting paid social content from:

@PHRCLeeds and @NHSChoices Facebook pages; and

You can also order the following leaflets from us, free of charge:

  • L133 - When you have a cold or flu, Antibiotics are not for you! – A6 postcard
