What is the Publication Scheme?

Leeds City Council is committed to open government and the pro-active release of the information it holds.  We have voluntarily been releasing information since the 1980s and the website already contains a substantial amount of information and individual documents.

The Freedom of Information Act requires every public authority to adopt and maintain a publication scheme and to publish information in accordance with the scheme.  The council's publication scheme is intended to be a guide to the information which we routinely publish.
