Paralympic star sets time to beat at Leeds City Museum

Paralympic swimmer Claire Cashmore took time out of her busy  training schedule, prior to the games starting, to have a go at Leeds City Museum’s new Treasure Dash. Our congratulations go out to Claire, who trains in Leeds, for the bronze and silver medals that she has won so far - well done Claire!

Museum staff have hidden posters of six mystery objects around Leeds City Centre. Visitors have to find the posters and ‘check in’ on Facebook at their secret location. Claire braved the British summer to do it in 46 minutes and 2 seconds, can you beat her time?

The Treasure Dash is a free competition, which will run until January 2013 and the fastest dasher will get £100 in gig vouchers.

If you want to see the real mystery objects, they are all on display at Leeds City Museum, in an exciting new exhibition called ‘Treasured! Smuggled? Stolen? Saved?’. The Treasure Dash and the Exhibition were both created by young volunteers aged 16-23.

Visit to find out more about how you can take part in the dash!
