The ARTiculation Prize is a public speaking competition about the arts for school pupils.
The national prize is given to a sixth form student who can, in a ten minute presentation, give its listeners a deeper insight and enthusiasm for their selected artwork. The student can choose any artwork, architecture or design that has engaged them and talk about why the work is of personal interest.
Last year local student Lily Kitchen was awarded second prize by broadcaster Jon Snow at the national event held at the University of Cambridge.
ARTiculation 2013 opens for entries on 26 October 2012 in eight heats across the country; from Birmingham to Salisbury and is inviting sixth formers to deliver a paper on an artwork of their choice.
Leeds Art Gallery, in partnership with the Hepworth is inviting people to the Yorkshire regional heat at the Hepworth on 27 February 2013 between 2pm and 4.30pm. Why not take part? For more information call 0113 2478254.
