 Weddings

‚ÄčThis Tudor - Jacobean mansion is licensed to hold weddings and civil partnership ceremonies and provides both grandeur and intimacy. Set within 1500 acres of beautiful gardens, mature woodland and rolling parkland, it is the perfect setting for your special day.

There are a number of exquisite rooms within the House that are both licensed for Civil Ceremonies and available for dining. In addition, the South Terrace is perfect for a drinks reception, allowing you and your guests to take in the spectacular countryside and surroundings.

Download our brochure for further information about weddings at Temple Newsam.

The Dining Room

The Dining Room is situated on the ground floor and is available for up to forty guests at a ceremony and seats twenty for dinner. A truly majestic room overlooked by the spectacular heraldic over mantel bearing the arms of Mary Queen of Scots.

The Great Hall

In the 16th century the Great Hall was the space traditionally used for feasting and celebrations. It is an excellent venue for a larger wedding ceremony or for a dinner for up to one hundred guests. It has exits into the courtyard of the House as well as straight onto the South Terrace.

We have a comprehensive wedding brochure detailing everything you need to know about how Temple Newsam could be the perfect venue for your wedding day! You can find the brochure in the Downloads section below. Call us now to visit the House and estate and to book an appointment for a tour and to talk about your requirements.
