Abbey House Bear Hunt
Site: Abbey House Museum
Early Years, KS1
A member of staff or freelancer leads this activity.
Inspired by the famous book, your class can go on a hunt for Albert the Abbey House Bear. Instead of ploughing through forests and mud we will tip toe along the cobbles of Abbey House’s Victorian Streets. Led by our bear hunter, children will follow Albert’s footprints and discover what he has been up to in the museum including Victorian washing and playing hopscotch. This session uses rhyme, repetition and active learning.
EYFS sessions lasts approximately 1 hour, which includes a bear craft activity and meeting Albert the bear.
