Sketchbook Studies
Site: Lotherton Hall
Key stages:
KS3, KS4
Subject areas:
Art
This workshop is led by museums staff.
What's involved?
Work with Lotherton Halls amazing collections and museum staff as inspiration for developing and producing first hand sketches. Experiment with annotation and drawing. Pupils will use the day to experiment with new techniques and materials. Pupils will need to bring their sketchbook and a camera.
This workshop is for students who would like to broaden their sketchbook skills, produce portfolio sketchbooks or perhaps use materials not always associated with keeping a visual record. A sketchbook is like a diary, it can be highly detailed, or it can catch a passing observation or event in a simple collection of lines. If you are working on a long-term project it is often essential. This two hour workshop can be tailored to your scheme of work/project.
