Self-guided visits to Abbey House
Site: Abbey House Museum
Cross Curricular, Citizenship, History, Literacy, PSHE, Art, Design & Technology
This is a self-led workshop/activity.
A self-guided visit to the museum can be used to support many curriculum topics including topics through time, such as Houses and Homes, Toys and Games, Old and New, Shops and Shopping, Food and Drink, Materials and Local History.
Our recreated Victorian Streets are an inspiring environment for pupils from foundation stage to KS5 and our award winning friendly and knowledgeable Front of House staff are always happy to answer questions.
A visit to the museum is also a great stimulus for creative writing, literacy activities and art activities.
We strongly recommend a pre-visit for all groups which is free if booked in advance. If you wish to discuss your visit or any special requirements or requests you may have our Learning and Access Officer will be happy to help.
