A member of staff or freelancer leads this activity.
This two-hour workshop led by a member of the museum staff investigates materials with Y1-4 pupils.
The activities include: exploring different materials in the museum (using senses and developing vocabulary), investigating the properties of wool and undertaking simple experiments to explore a range of materials and their properties.
Pupils will be split up into 4 groups, which we encourage teachers to do beforehand and have at least one adult with each group.
There is a self-led teachers' pack and materials trail available to complement this workshop. Please enquire for more details.
