 Volunteer at Lotherton

There are many ways to get involved in the restoration, conservation and events programmes as volunteers at Lotherton Hall.

In the House

Volunteering opportunities at the House are often advertised from the volunteer link at the bottom of the page.  If there is nothing advertised at the time you look, the team are always interested in hearing from you so just email your details to lotherton.hall@leeds.gov.uk and someone will be in touch.

Estate volunteers

The parks and countryside team on the estate manage the outdoor spaces including the gardens, play areas, bird garden and more.  Volunteers are a very valued section of the team working at Lotherton and are cared for by the estate officer and another member of staff allocated to help with training and support.

The group meets every Thursday, undertaking a mixture of conservation, forestry and construction work. They are responsible for a number of notable achievements such as the construction of “the Boundary Trail”, countless metres of post and wire fencing, new gates and stiles and the management of Captain Wood

As well as working every Thursday, there are opportunities for socialising, training and attending events.
