 Agricultural History

​​At Home Farm we have a collection of artefacts and historical items that help to tell the story of the lives of the people who lived and worked on the estate. They range from 1694 – when the Great Barn was built - to 1968; when the dairy closed.  Most of the objects come from the Yorkshire and the North of England.

We have agricultural and horticultural vehicles that were used on the estate.  Some of our vehicles were originally drawn by horses, and include private drive vehicles. These  form part of the Council’s larger collection of historic vehicles and  complement the collection at Lotherton Hall.
