The spectacular church with its 200 foot aisle is a majestic and romantic setting for a blessing or vow renewal. Hire for half a day (8.30am – 12.30pm, or 12.30pm – 4.30pm) or a full day (8.30am – 4.30pm). The Colonel North Room in the abbey Visitor Centre can be hired for drinks and canapés. The Gatehouse restaurant at Abbey House Museum is available for evening receptions.Please note it is not legally possible to get married in the ruins.

A naming ceremony is a non religious ceremony*, to welcome a new baby, adopted or step children into a family. Create your own special ceremony to welcome your new arrival by hiring the Colonel North Room in the Visitor Centre and/or the church of the abbey ruin and create your own unique occasion. * Ceremonies have no legal status. You can lead the ceremony yourself or you can find a trained 'celebrant', who can help you to prepare the ceremony and lead it on the day. Organisations such as The British Humanist Association (BHA) can arrange a special ceremony to welcome your child or you can contact Leeds City Council's Register Office.
