Eat and drink at the Gatehouse Cafe
Situated in the oldest part of Abbey House, originally the Great or Inner Gatehouse of Kirkstall Abbey built between 1152 and 1182, the Gatehouse cafe is a must to break up your visit to Abbey House Museum and Kirkstall Abbey.
The menu is inspired by local produce, offering a range of freshly made sandwiches and snacks, hot food, salads, cakes, and hot and cold drinks. A few highlights must include the goat's cheese salad (as recommended by the museum staff), cream teas, dandelion and burdock cake and of course a Yorkshire Roast dinner that's available every Sunday. And don't forget that Boutique offer a 10% discount at the cafe for all LeedsCard holders.
Did you know you can hire the Gatehouse Cafe for a range of events? This could include the Gatehouse, two annex rooms, terrace and courtyard and the Visitor Centre at Kirkstall Abbey, depending on your requirements. Contact Boutique Catering for more details on 0113 263 7915.
