A popular destination for film and television work, Leeds Museums and Galleries offer a wide range of locations and collections suitable for a variety of uses. All our museum collections are housed in sites as varied as a majestic medieval abbey to grand country houses.

Over the years there have been many programmes filmed in Leeds at our sites. Our locations have hosted such prime time favourites as;  ‘A Touch of Frost’ (ITV), ‘At Home with the Braithwaites’ (ITV), ‘Fred Dibnah’ (BBC), ‘The Life And Crimes Of William Palmer’ (ITV), ‘Macawber’ (ITV), ‘Scientific Eye’ (C4) ‘Beg To Differ’ (C4), ‘Bargain Hunt’ (BBC) and most recently ‘How to Look Good Naked’ (C4).  Our stores have been used as a background to several documentaries.

We have also given technical advice and the loan of objects to the documentary, ‘The 1900 House’ and ‘The People Detectives’.

Some of our collections can be made available for photographic and film projects.
