The Leeds History collections are based around the lives of Leeds communities. In addition to important collections of Toys and Games, the collections are strong in the following areas: history of retail, domestic life, music, clocks, slot machines and automata, ceramics, photography and local history pictures.
The Leeds History collections can be viewed at Abbey House Museum, Armley Mills and the Discovery Centre (by appointment).
In the new Leeds City Museum there will be a large dedicated Leeds Gallery telling the story of Leeds and its people.
