Artemis, formerly known as the Schools Museum and Art Loan Service, is part of ArtForms, Education Leeds. Schools belonging to the Leeds Education Authority have free access to the wide-ranging collections of artefacts and art in order to enhance classroom teaching and learning.
The benefits of a museum visit can be extended by borrowing items for preparatory or follow-up work in the classroom. Items can be delivered and collected to and from schools on scheduled dates, or can be collected personally from the Artemis building near the centre of Leeds.
