What we want to achieve
Lotherton has lots of fantastic attractions, but many of these are unknown to visitors or in need of some restoration. Proposals are to make improvements that will enhance the visitor experience, make more of the estate available, safe for all to use and preserve Lotherton for future generations.
As well as those detailed on this map, improvements include:
- more accessible parking
- doubling the amount of the estate open to visitors
- creating enchanting routes for visitors through themed walks, grass 'maze style' paths and improved picnic and play areas
- recreating the Edwardian gardens, the Japanese rockery and the walled gardens
- improving access in the house and estate
- better signage, navigation and interpretation
- a year round programme of events
How are we going to afford to make these improvements and preserve Lotherton for the future?
Prices have been changed to reflect these proposals and will:
- be friendly to frequent visitors and season ticket holders
- offer great value family tickets
- offer 20% Leeds Card and 30% Leeds Card Extra discounts
- include a new and exciting events programme
- improve the visitor experience
The new prices can be found in visitor information.
