Bringing library services direct to your door
The Library At Home service provides home delivery to anyone who lives in Leeds and can no longer access the library. Volunteers provide a link from the customers to the library service and may provide a vital social connection to the outside world.
What do the volunteers do?
Volunteers commit 2 - 3 hours of their time once every 3 weeks to choose books and other items and deliver them to borrowers. No special qualifications are required as training and guidance is given to all volunteers. We just ask that volunteers have an interest in books and a willingness to spend time with library members who are confined to their homes.
If you would like to volunteer or just want more information, please contact the volunteer co-ordinator using the details at the top of this page.
Other volunteer opportunities are available via Voluntary Action Leeds. You can find more information about Voluntary Action Leeds and their Volunteer Centre by following the link on this page.
