Joining the library - adults online form

Joining the library is completely free and you can do it online 

Please note:  If you are aged 18 or under, you should visit the Breeze website to apply for your combined library card and Breezecard.

Join at any library as well as online

• Fill in the form below
• Your library card will be posted to your address as soon as possible.
• When the card arrives, please take it to any of our libraries to be validated along with something which proves who you are.
• Proof can include a passport, or credit, bank, Metro or student cards.

Membership benefits:

• Borrow up to 20 books free
• Book a computer online with free internet access 
• Online resources from home free

Books can be renewed

• By phone on 0845 1207271, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please have your library card number and book barcode numbers ready as it is an automated service. If you need help, hold the line to speak to a member of staff during these opening hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9am – 8pm, Thursday, Friday 9am – 5pm, Saturday  10am – 5pm.
• You can keep the items you borrow for up to six months in any twelve month period.  Just renew them in person, online or over the phone
•  Online - Set up an account by obtaining a PIN (personal identification number) from your library.
