Golden Acre Park

Newsflash!

The popular cafe at Golden Acre Park is currently undergoing refurbishment including the construction of a conservatory.  Building works will be taking place between January and March 2014 inclusive and the cafe will be offering a resticted service during that time.  It is recommended that during this period customers call  0113 261 3064 before travelling to check whether the cafe is open to avoid disappointment.

Golden Acre Park

This popular park in North Leeds is renowned for its wonderful gardens, popular tea rooms and circular lakeside walk. It is next to two nature reserves, Breary Marsh and Adel Dam and is 55 hectares in size. The park is on the route of both the Leeds Country Way and the Meanwood Valley Trail.

Location

Golden Acre is situated 6 miles from Leeds City Centre on the A660 Leeds Road in between Adel and Bramhope.

Buses to and from Leeds:
780, 784, X84 – 3 buses per hour Monday to Saturday daytime, hourly service evenings and Sundays.
Disabled Access:
  • The circular route around the lake in the park is on flat, well maintained paths. 
  • Motorised scooters are available to hire at Golden Acre Park from the Bakery Coffee House and must be pre-booked before 10am on the day of hire. To book, call 0113 2613064.
  • There is a disabled toilet by the shop

Summer opening times: Mon - Fri 10.30am - 4.30pm, Sat and Sun 10.30am - 5.00pm.
Winter opening times: Mon - Sun 10.00am - 3.30pm.

Volunteering

The Golden Acre Park Volunteers meet every first Wednesday of the month to help with gardening, nature conservation and generally looking after the park.  New members are always welcome, for further information contact us as detailed below.
