There is always something going on in your local library including story and rhyme times, regular events, readers & writers groups, Lego, Minecraft and Code clubs and much more.
There are free computers to use, access to online information resources, free Wi-Fi and we offer free learning sessions to teach you how to use a computer or tablet.
Your library is more than just books, although we do give you access to thousands of those too as well as; audio books, eBooks to download, free online magazines and no reserve charges for items we have in stock!
We also have rooms for hire in some of our Centres. Prices are currently £5 per hour/part hour for Community and Non-Profit groups & activities and £10 per hour/part hour for all commercial use. Lists of Centres with definite rooms for hire and possible rooms for hire (at the Manager’s discretion) can be found on the Room Hire Information page.
We have followed the move in other councils for some of our libraries to be co-located with other services through our Community Hubs. The hubs offer a mixture of housing services, customer services and job searching help and advice. In our hubs reading, online learning, improving your prospects and the fun and facilities of a traditional library are still available in a welcoming open plan environment.
