From fantastic author events to performances and activities suitable for different ages, there is something for everyone. As well as in libraries, there are often Breezereads events at Festivals such as the Breeze International Youth Festival, Thought Bubble Comics Festival and Leeds Young People’s Film Festival.Leeds Book AwardsThe winners of the 2012 Leeds Book Awards were announced on Thursday 24th May at 2 ceremonies at The Carriageworks Theatre in Leeds in front of hundreds of excited local school children who had all taken part and voted for their favourite books . Working together with Thought Bubble, Leeds Libraries are developing this award scheme to celebrate the best graphic novels for young people and encourage as many young people as possible to read them.
