Breezereads
Breezereads events offer exciting activities and events for the young people. from fantastic author events to performances and activities suitable for different ages, there is something for everyone. As well as in libraries, there are often Breezereads events at Festivals such as the Breeze Arts Festival, Thought Bubble Comics Festival and Leeds Young People’s Film Festival.

Leeds Book Awards

The new Leeds Book awards shortlists have been announced and you can help us decide who the winners will be. You can borrow the books from your local library and vote for your favourite. Information on how to take part is on the Leeds Book Awards website (see External links) or look out for the special posters at your library.

 

British Comic Awards - Young People's Category.

Schools across Leeds have been taking part in this special award for young people who love comic books. Leeds libraries are working together with the British Comic Awards and Thought Bubble Comics Festival to celebrate the best comics and graphic novels for young people, and to help decide which will be the winner of this exciting award.​

Volunteering Opportunities For Young People.

We are looking for young volunteers aged 14 - 25 to help plan, promote and carry out library events and activities across Leeds - for the annual Summer Reading Challenge and throughout the year.
