Tropical World

Please note that due to recent improvement works, some areas continue to be closed to the public and if you visit us, there are sections where you may have to queue.

We hope it doesn't spoil your fun; the meerkat and crocodile superstars are all still available to meet with you!

Opening times

Winter: 28 October 2013 to 30 March 2014 10am until 4pm (last admission at 3.30pm)

Summer: 31 March 2014 to 27 October 2014 10am until 6pm (last admission at 5.30pm)


You can find Tropical World at Roundhay Park, three miles north of Leeds city centre.

Explorers' cafe:

Summer: 31 March 2014 to 27 October 2014 10.30am to 4.30pm weekdays, 10.30am to 5pm weekends

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.


Free parking is available just off Princes Avenue in Roundhay Park.

Disabled parking is available on Princes Avenue just outside the entrance to Tropical World.

Tropical World is accessible for wheelchair users.
