For some larger events, Merrion Way will be closed to traffic post event except for vehicles leaving Merrion Centre car park.
Our fantastic City Ambassadors will be on hand to meet and greet you and explain the best possible way to get to the arena from the railway station, bus station, and Woodhouse Lane car park. The arena has its own dedicated taxi rank to the right of the main plaza and the City Ambassadors can direct you to this. They will also be able to advise you about the location of other taxi ranks in the city for when you're planning your journey home.
There are plenty of car parking spaces across the city. With two dedicated first direct arena car parks, Woodhouse Lane car park and Merrion Centre car park. There are a total of 2,880 car park spaces within a 5 minute walk and a further 4,841 spaces within a 15 minutes walk.

We want everyone to have a great experience visiting the first direct arena so please be careful of your own and your passengers safety when dropping off or picking up event-goers. We recommend that the best places to do this safely are on Woodhouse Lane outside Morrisons supermarket, on Cookridge Street in the Civic Quarter or on Cross Belgrave Street just 5 minutes walk from the venue.
Please do not attempt to drop off passengers in front of the arena on Claypit Lane as there is no stopping on this road and enforcement will be in the area to ensure road safety.
