Mobile Library Provision Review Consultation

three mobile library vehicles

We have been looking at how we can make the Mobile Library Service more efficient and provide a better service for residents of Leeds. In recent years the way people access all LCC services, including library services, has changed and we need to adapt to meet our customers’ needs. The council is however aware that these proposals may impact on some individuals and communities, and is therefore seeking views from residents about the principles in order that they can help shape the future of the service.

What we are proposing

The proposals are to introduce a number of principles by which the service would be provided which would allow us to streamline the current stops and enable us to provide other services which would better suit the needs of all our customers and in addition save the Council £125,000.

We have provided a list of Mobile Library stops for each ward, to help service users find out more about the impact that our proposals may have on their local Mobile Library stop.

This consultation will run from 16th October until 12th November 2017.
