Pudsey Park

Pudsey Park is the second most visited park in Leeds and is situated 5 miles west of the city centre. Approximately 7.5 hectares in size, its packed with things to see and do and has been presented with a Green Flag award for excellence.

Opening times

We aim to open the visitor centre and toilets every week day from 10am to 3pm,except Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. However, opening hours vary due to staff availability so please call us on 0113 395 7400 to check we are open before making a trip. The visitor centre is also open when events are being held on weekends.
The cafe kiosk is run privately and the opening hours do not follow a set pattern.

The visitor centre is dedicated to the wildlife of west Leeds, containing freshwater fish, native mammals and birds. Wildlife displays include a rabbit warren and a stone-built barn housing brown rats.

Disabled access

The park is level in most places and so is easy to get around for pushchairs and wheelchairs.

The new visitor centre is also easily accessible and includes disabled toilet facilities.


Buses and parking

Although there are no car parking facilities within the park, there is roadside parking around on the streets nearby. Please park with care and consideration for local residents.

There is a good, regular bus service to Pudsey from Leeds city centre. 4 and 4c from Boar Lane to Pudsey Market Place and 73 from the Duncan Pub on Duncan Street to Pudsey Market Place bus station.

Education and Guided Tours

Guided tours and workshops are available at the West Leeds Country Park visitor centre for schools, youth and community groups. We also provide school assemblies about the animals that live there. For more information and to book contact us on parks.education@leeds.gov.uk or 0113 3367553.
