Access: Millennium Square can be accessed off Portland Gate / Portland Crescent, Cookridge Street, Rossington Street, Great George Street or Calverley Street with level / sloped access provided at each of these points. Exact entrance and exit arrangements will vary depending on specific events. The Square itself follows the natural topography of the surrounding ground levels and slopes down from North to South.
Seating is provided to the North and West edges of the Square in the form of metal benches which incorporate back rests and arm rests.
When a large event is being held in the Square and public toilets underneath the Broderick Terrace to the North East of the Square are in use for that event, two disabled persons toilets with a choice of right and left handed transfer and can be accessed via radar locks will be available, and are accessible via a ramped approach.
Otherwise the nearest disabled persons toilets are located in the Leeds City Museum which is on the Eastern edge of the Square (subject to museum opening hours):
The nearest Changing Places toilet to Millennium Square is located in the Leeds Gallery Shop & Café, Central Library and Art Gallery, The Headrow, LS1 3AA.

Woodhouse Lane multi storey car park also provides non-time limited designated disabled persons parking on Levels 1 and 7 which is free for blue badge holders.
A multi-functional live event venue and has a standing capacity of 8,000 persons in its concert configuration. The square is currently home to the Leeds Big Screen and plays host to some of the our key events such as the popular annual Christkindelmarkt German Christmas Market and the Ice Cube outdoor temporary ice rink plus major sport screenings.
The square is also widely used for various community based celebrations, charitable and commercial events and promotions staged throughout the year including St Patrick's Day, Vaisakhi and Leeds Pride celebrations, Leeds Half Marathon and The Leeds 10k - Jane Tomlinson's Run For All sporting events plus other high profile events such as live outdoor music concerts.
