Bramley Library

Bramley Library building is now closed and is undergoing refurbishment to become a Community Hub. During these works, the Library will be temporarily relocated at St Peter’s Church on Hough Lane, Bramley which is a 5 minute walk from the Library. Works are scheduled to take approximately 8 weeks. There will be a reduced amount of book stock for loan at St Peters during this period but most genres will be available. The Friday Job Club is still operating as normal at St Peters Church. There are no computer facilities for public use but a mobile library with computer access is available at St Peters on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays 10am – 3pm.

The library is on the local bus routes. Please contact Metroline for up-to-date travel information on (0113) 245 7676

Parking: Street parking

Access:

There is on street parking only, and access is dependent on where the vehicle is parked.  The surface is mainly concrete and paving slabs with curbs.  Most areas are reasonably maintained and level.  The nearest public transport is down/up a very steep hill approximately 800 metres and there is the possibility of crossing a very busy road using pelican crossings.  Entrance to the library is either via three steps or an access ramp.  The library is all on one level through a set of heavy internal doors; assistance from a carer or staff member would be required for wheelchairs.  There is an accessible customer toilet.  Assistive technology is available at this site. Please contact the Library for more information. Boardmaker is also available.  There are low level areas and an Induction loop is installed on the counter.
